Horrible service, missed pick ups from our business and they want to charge us to make a pickup they missed. Said they will issue a credit but never do. Now we are trying to cancel and they are making it impossible to do so. We've been trying to cancel for nearly a month. Email string showing their incompetence... I Have not been charged yet but will be charged $30 once the job is done which I feel that it should be free but they do not think so.

We replaced the two toilets in our house and because they are bulk items we called Republic like we were supposed to do and scheduled a pick up for Thursday. We come home Thursday evening and the toilets are still sitting in the front yard. I called Republic this morning and I am told that it is documented in the system that the job was completed. The employee escalated the job and said that there would be someone out today to pick them up. At 1:49 today 9/21/18 I called and spoke with a different customer service employee and am being told that she does not know how the other worker could have told me that because she is not seeing anything related to the job being done. She then went on to tell me that there is no guarantee that the toilets will be picked up today and will probably be on Monday which then they will definitely be picked up. I asked what makes her so sure that they will be picked up on Monday and she stated because it is scheduled and I told her they were scheduled on Thursday too and didn't get picked up. Of course she has no answer as to why they were not picked up. I do not understand why there is such incompetent people and no one can stand up and admit that they are wrong and explain why they were not picked up. Now under some incidents most people would be verbally told or written up for something like this but these workers will probably scape by and nothing is going to be done. Unfortunately this is the only company that services the area that I live in so we are stuck with having this company. I just would like some answers as to why?

From what I know the trucks and the supervisor are all working rthless the supervisors and office people don't know how to do their jobs almost all the trucks have a while like of issues that should be fixed before the trucks can go out to work the lead mechanics and their supervisors think having extra parts is just a weast of time and money causing down time to be even more than needed this cooperation is a joke they seem to be a fake and a scam offering a crummy service just ask around Johnson county and the areas around Kansas City

They can't remember me on recycle day!

My recycle day is every other Thursday. I have had to call every other Friday SINCE JULY to tell them that my recycle has not been picked up AGAIN! I call. Chris & the others I talk to are very pleasant & apologetic, BUT this is OCTOBER and it is STILL going on! Since they are contracted by the city, I have also called them today. Maybe that will help. I want to do my small part to help the planet. I think I am the only person on my street that does recycle. Maybe they want me to stop so they don't have to come out here. They will charge me any way, so guess I will continue to call. It is a matter of principle now.

Unfortunately Republic services has a Monopoly in Las Vegas - One of the worst companies with poorest follow through.

There have been several incidents with Republic Services and the escalation team did a poor job of handling the situation.

- Did not pick-up trash because there was a car too close (someone parked in front of the house after the trash was put out). 4 weeks before they picked up the garbage due to various excuses. I got an email after from the so called escalation team "We will pick garbage up on the next scheduled pick-up".

- Did not pick-up trash because it was on private property (It was near the sidewalk).

- Did not pick-up trash because the trash can was facing the wrong direction (WTF?).

- Asked to have the Extra Large containers traded out. I was told that could be done on the next garbage pick-up (It's been 4 weeks and they haven't traded them out).

Answers are:

- We don't know what happened?

- We needed to schedule with a different department.

- Did they forget to change them out?

- Do you still need to have them changed out?

I feel bad for the people that take the initial call.. They get the brunt of the annoyance and it appears they have no one who actually supports them.

In trying to be more efficient, it seems Republic Services has taken the F** The Consumer route.. Which is very unfortunate.

When I talked with customer service to set up trash/recycling service I was quoted $54 quarterly. I received my first bill approximately two days after first phone call to set up service. I didn't get trash pickup until two weeks later and my cans came 3 weeks later. Then there was a $5.95 Administrative Fee. Then a $9.29 Total fuel/Environmental Recovery Fee. For one month from June 15,2018 to July 15,18 my total bill $37.87! I called to check if this was correct and I was told no it wasn't. They were supposed to get back with me? Next I received a second bill with a late fee around July 15,18. On that second bill I was charged a $5.00 late fee.The can delivery was $20.70 for one trash can and $20.70 for one recycling can. Residential Service 08/01 to 10/31 was $54.00. Administrative Fees $5.95 plus Total Fuel/Environmental Recovery Fee $33.34. For July 15,18 bill the total was $139.69. With June 15,18 bill I now owe them $177.56! Then on 08/15/18 I was informed I now owe a Reinstatement Fee of $35. For a grand total of $212.56. This is an astronomical amount to be charged from a quote of $54 per quarter. I'm reaching out to government officials for help and awaiting their response. Apparently since I live in the village of Southernview,Republic is not under the Springfield IL. Cap of $15 per 1 can pick up and $18 for 2 can pickup. I hope the helps anyone considering using Republic Services in the future?

Republic Services are in the Stone Age!

I had no option to offer a review with minus 5 stars or I would have. I give Republic Services five thumbs down. I moved 2 weeks ago - it happens all the time...people move. I had to change service with Portland General Electric and NW Natural - easy peasy... same account number, one phone call. With Republic Services... mission bloody impossible. I called Republic Services Customer Service 2 weeks ago and told them I was moving (because on their stupid website my new address was "invalid.") The person I spoke to said I needed to pay the bill till the end of the month and then my account would start at my new address. They said the account # would stay the same and my service would be the same as my previous house because the old owners had the same bins as I had at my old address. I check the account online today and see that "there is no service available at this address." I also see that they owe me $60.78. I call to see what is happening with my account. Oh, there is no account, you haven't created one. Say what? You need to apparently have someone delete your old account and create a whole new account online. To do this you need your new account number and an invoice number - well, I don't have either. The CSR put me on hold for each and every one of these things - 24 minutes later I was told I would have to wait until an invoice comes in the mail. How totally freaking inefficient!! So they will cancel my old account, print a check, mail me a check (how long that would take is anyone's guess). Then they will print an invoice, mail me an invoice, I will then get said invoice and now create an online account. Can anyone say STONE AGE? I guess in the process they are just creating more garbage. Totally useless!!
