Unfortunately Republic services has a Monopoly in Las Vegas - One of the worst companies with poorest follow through.
There have been several incidents with Republic Services and the escalation team did a poor job of handling the situation.
- Did not pick-up trash because there was a car too close (someone parked in front of the house after the trash was put out). 4 weeks before they picked up the garbage due to various excuses. I got an email after from the so called escalation team "We will pick garbage up on the next scheduled pick-up".
- Did not pick-up trash because it was on private property (It was near the sidewalk).
- Did not pick-up trash because the trash can was facing the wrong direction (WTF?).
- Asked to have the Extra Large containers traded out. I was told that could be done on the next garbage pick-up (It's been 4 weeks and they haven't traded them out).
Answers are:
- We don't know what happened?
- We needed to schedule with a different department.
- Did they forget to change them out?
- Do you still need to have them changed out?
I feel bad for the people that take the initial call.. They get the brunt of the annoyance and it appears they have no one who actually supports them.
In trying to be more efficient, it seems Republic Services has taken the F** The Consumer route.. Which is very unfortunate.

Republic Services are in the Stone Age!
Preferred solution: Fix your website so I can move without changing account number or deleting my account or waiting for the invoice and new account number. Ridiculous process!!
