Republic Services doesn't care about recycling. Since May 25 the company has picked up recycling only once.
Calls to the service center are answered in a timely manner by friendly people, but they do not lead to anything.
After calling in every day for a week they escalated the issue escalated and I was told I'd get a call back. The manager refunded me $1, apparently the monthly cost of quarterly recycling.
There never was a call back.
So in the period of two months, I've had 2 pickups. The service center reps indicated that there is a staffing shortage issue in our area, but I suspect that the fact they can only refund me $1 plays a large role in how they prioritize their pickups, and why they don't care about recycling.
